This site is maintained by the village council – your closest layer of local government, run entirely by volunteers (7 council members and a voluntary clerk). It is financed by a “precept” collected with the rates by the district council, and amounting to roughly £1 per month for each resident.
The council also maintains a close relationship with the local community association, TASC, which now provides less formal services for residents, such as community support, facilities and events.
Your village council is the closest tier of local government to you.
We try to include in these pages a summary of how your village council serves you, but also to provide an information resource for residents, including links to other tiers of local government. We hope you can find what you are looking for by browsing or searching the site; if not, please contact us.
These pages also include all the minutes of village council meetings. If there is anything you feel the council should be aware of or where it can help or support you, please contact the village council.

All members of the public are entitled to attend council meetings and are cordially invited by the council to do so, but they are asked to contact the clerk in advance so that the venue can be prepared. Time will be set aside prior to the published agenda to enable informal discussion to take place about items on the agenda or for future meetings.
Agendas will be posted on notice boards and this website
